Reading the API and the man-pages doesn't answer the questions I
have. For example, there is nowhere mentioned, if ...

1. ... X supports hw-sprites
2. ... X supports hw-buffers (Z-Buffer, Alpha-Buffer, etc...)

Ah... Good! I asked Stefan, if he want to create a module for each
extension and import the extensions into CVS there as noone seems to
do that. Maybe he will come up and help you later.
