ggiExtensionAttach problem

The problem: ggiExtensionAttach() fails!

I have the following scenery:


ggiBseAttach()
     |
     +-->ggiOvlAttach()
     |         |
     |         +--->ggiGAAttach()
     |         |        |
     |         |        +--->ggiExtensionAttach() succeeds
     |         +--->ggiExtensionAttach() succeeds
     +-->ggiBltAttach()
               |
               +--->ggiGAAttach()
                        |
                        +--->ggiExtensionAttach() fails


Why does ggiExtensionAttach fail?
Is that a bug or a feature?
Do I anything wrong?
