Ask them, if Allegro and SDL is as extensible as KGI/GGI is? Can
Allegro/SDL make use of any new (revolutionary) hardware-features
without rewriting/bloating it?

That might be true, because of the current development state of
KGI/GGI. But as soon as GGI has some extensions including accelerated
targets, there is no reason of worrying about speed.
To come with KGI in speed it needs drivers, drivers, drivers (full
accelerated).

I suggest you to port SDL and allegro to GGI. The reason: They are
able to run their applications on top of GGI. Then you can compare
the speed with and without GGI. The port of their apps to GGI is much
easier then, too. And - if you are clever enough - you can gain more
arguments for KGI/GGI rather easy.

This list is only KGI-relevant. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> is the
GGI-list. Please check out http://www.ggi-project.org/ for
subscribtion info.
I post this mail to both KGI- and GGI-List, because this topic
refers to both projects.

We are glad to help you out whereever we can.
