Oh, by the way:
CFLAGS="-O3 -funroll-loops -march=athlon"
CXXFLAGS="-O3 -funroll-loops -march=athlon"
FFLAGS="-O3 -funroll-loops -march=athlon"
./configure athlon-plug-linux --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr
--bindir=/usr/bin --sbindir=/usr/sbin --sysconfdir=/etc
--datadir=/usr/share --includedir=/usr/include --libdir=/usr/lib
--libexecdir=/usr/libexec --localstatedir=/var --sharedstatedir=/usr/com
--mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info
gcc -O3 indicates all size optimizations and most all speed
optimizations - that's why I added the -funroll-loops.

Your eyes are weary from staring at the CRT. You feel sleepy. Notice how
restful it is to watch the cursor blink. Close your eyes. The opinions
stated above are yours. You cannot imagine why you ever felt otherwise.
