That's wrong. It has nothing to do with distributions. It is gcc
itself. The newer version is pickier than the older version. gcc 3.0
is the newest version, so gcc 3.0 should be the pickiest compiler.

Yes. Everyone has a different environment. So if everyone will do
that, then we have a test result of various gcc versions on various
plattforms/configurations.
