Hello,

We are new to GGI libraries. We are using GGI on Solaris (Ultra-10).

On the other day, I had asked a similar question. I shall repeat, are there
any suiatble links which give the theoretical background required to start
working on GGI.
We got the reply from Eric that perhaps, all this will be taken care in GGI
book.

I am aware that there is a small dummies guide in text format in doc
directory.
However, I find it too small.

Subsequently, I did my own studies using net. I found some links which may
be interesting.( I know that the developers are busy. If I ask the
developers to find suiable links for us, they may not find time to do that.
Nor they may be able to tell
 it off hand.)

Therefore, I am asking whether some of these links will be of any use.

There are some links which are related to driver development for unix,
linux and solaris in particular.
http://www.isi.edu/div7/people/govindan.home/cs402/lectures/iosys.html
http://people.redhat.com/johnsonm/devices.html
http://soldc.sun.com/developer/support/driver/
http://soldc.sun.com/developer/support/driver/faqs.html

Will/ were these of any help in LIBGII developement and enhancement ?

There are a few links which directly deal with Graphics programming
http://www.ddj.com/articles/2001/0165/0165f/0165f.htm?topic=graphics
                                        (Graphics Programming Black Book by
Michael Abrash)
http://www.gameprogrammer.com/
http://graphics.cs.ucdavis.edu/GraphicsNotes/homepage.html
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/graphics/

Do these help us in LIBGGI? The first 2 of these seem to talk more about PC
based programming. Is some discussion relevant in unix/X context also?

I welcome comments from experienced developers. However, if the above
discussion is out of scope of this mailing list then pl, execuse me.

Thanks.

-Ulhas
