Just verified the chroot experiment. Referring to the buildlog in my previous message: libgii is not built, because libgg is not found. You see every other Makefile has its xxx_la_LIBADD variable respected, it simply can not be seen in the gcc invocation for gii. linux_evdev produces duplicate symbol warnings (uint16). Eric Faurot wrote in other mail, he moved the manpages from 9 to 7. Are you comfortable that the .so links point to manXgii/... I still have to hack them then to point to manX instead o manXgii. He also gave me some clues how to build the docs (thanks). Any objections against a debian 'libggi-doc' package from 'ggi-xml.tar.bz2'? ./configure requires g++, otherwise it breaks: g++ can't produce output, although it noticed before that no g++ is available. > martin
