Who is actually the administrator of this mailing list?

I’ve seen it several times that text in mails on this list was prefixed
with a `>` although it was not a quotation, which can be very confusing.
Now I saw this even in one of my own mails: the `>` before “From what I
remember” below is wrong. I have not put it there; so it must have been
added somehow automatically. Could this please be stopped? I don’t want
people to get confused regarding what I have and haven’t written.
