Hello. A while back I sent over some run time errors for .26 that prevented GHDL from running properly on an UltraSPARC/Solaris 8 environment.
I was able to successfully get .25 to work, with a little manual tweaking here and there. Currently I am trying to get .27 to work, but like others on other platforms, there are the occasional snags along the way. === It can be confusing to get everything right. These are some observations so far, and they might not be 100% correct... === It seems that the compiler being used to build 4.2.4 (and GHDL's tree grafted in) must also itself be able to understand both C/C++ AND Ada ... otherwise the compile breaks at a particular point. My intalled Ada compiler is the Adacore compiler, version 4.0.2 === I got an error similar to this: "fatal error: file gnat1drv.ali is incorrectly formatted" === Hopefully it can be resolved. But there are still some runtime problems with the Solaris port that I sent up to Tristan from gdb a few weeks back, where a fault was caused ... probably due to RISC architecture and bad alignment references...
