Hi folks,

for more than a year now im fighting with GHDL and simulating a Xilinx
DCM (digital clock manager). For a while I thought that this has to do
with the simulator resolution (ps, ns, ...), but now I've seen, that
other guys are simulating the DCM successfully. I've been doing some
investigations/trials since ~two years, please see here:

It looks strange to me, that a 'complicated' DCM, where you have a
multiplication of 1.5 to the input clock, is working successfully, but
the 'more simple' approach to just double the clock isn't working. And
this not only with my design but also with the DCM generated by the
Xilinx wizard. And even that the DCM isn't working in GHDL, it works
great in real hardware (since ~1.5 years).

Is this a known problem? Is there any advice to circumvent this?

Kind regards,
- Bernd
