Hi Simon, good you found your bug. Sometimes things turn out so simple, nice side effect is that the wrinkles on your forehead will disappear when you hit your own forehead..

In fact, I'm running a full test suite from the software side using a virtual board and virtual JTAG using emulation. There are a number of tools (like netpp) involved and you have to do a lot yourself (but don't need to pay money to the big C or M). I've got some description and links here: http://tech.section5.ch/news/?p=124 I think it will just be a matter of time until people find out how strong GHDL is compared to the $$$-Tools.
