My last patch, as of today, is this: https://github.com/viric/nixpkgs/blob/6c2f33f41430240968d8e9390498cda5df960441/pkgs/development/compilers/gcc/4.7/ghdl-bootstrap.patch That's based on Brian patches, and still suffers all those segfaults we talked about. Only one change is nix-centric, the addition of --LINK with absolute path. I'm particularly interested in LTO too, if it could be make to work. And I hope that things like gdwarf-4 debug info would work straight.
