Thanks! I am currently developing a set of step-by-step instructions
for building GHDL on FreeBSD. This is for people who are interested in
the details of how to build the system from source. Eventually, I
imagine it will be primarily useful to people who wish to follow the
development branch of GHDL and will recompile frequently with a need to
observe and control the process. 

After the step-by-step instructions document is completed, development
on a more canonical FreeBSD [port][1] of GHDL will begin. This will be
for people who wish to install and use a well tested release version of
GHDL and are not interested in fiddling too much with the intricacies of
the build process.
