Hello Miriam,
To resample a volume image you can use an ITK or VTK filter. To use
a ITK filter, you can test with the tool Resample Scalar Volume (3D
Slicer) that is available in GIMIAS. In resampling parameters->Spacing you
can put 2,2,2. If you prefer to use a VTK filter, you can use
vtkImageResample.

Hello everyone,
I'm writing you this email because we need to resize PNG images.
We take the snapshot from a rendering window using vtkRenderer,
vtkRenderLargeImage and vtkPNGWriter, but we need decrease the image size
by specifying either a width or a height.
Is there any way to do this with vtkPNGWriter? The closer way to do this I
have found is something like the following lines after:
vtkRenderLargeImage* renderLarge = vtkRenderLargeImage::New();
renderLarge->SetInput(vtkrenderer);
renderLarge->SetMagnification(1);
The result has been a bit smaller image but not enough, and I am not able to
specify any dimension (pixels or %).
