Hi Aida,

Your question is very interesting. Last week we had a
similar one from another GIMIAS developer. Let me explain a little bit how
the render window configuration works.

A GIMIAS view will always contains a 3D window. This was
decided some time ago. However you can configure the number of slices views
and configure each slice independently, like for example, the direction:
sagittal, transversal or frontal. This option is available in the
View->Windows->Working area configuration.

Another issue is the layout of a GIMIAS view, that allows
you to configure the position and visibility of the 3D and the slice views.
This option is available in the menu View->Layout. For example to show only
a specific view, you can select one of this layouts: 3D view, X View, Y View
or Z view. The layout 2D views left will show the 2D views at the left and
the 3D view at the right.

Best,

Xavi

Subject: [Gimias-developers] configurating an standard working area

Hi,

I want to customize a working area and I've followed the steps I've found in
the developer's page and in the mailing list.
I've almost achieved what I wanted but is missing one detail I'm not able to
solve.

My working area has two views. The first view is correct but the second one
doesn't show what I want. I would like to have only one transversal view,
but if I change number of slices to zero, in order to have only one window
it always remains the 3D view. If I want the transversal view I need to put
2 slices but I don't want the 3D view to appear. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you very much,
Aida
