Dear Friends,

We would like to appeal for your support for *PEP Partylist *this coming May
2010 election, so that *PEP *can continue its fight to find justice for
pre-need victims and protect pre-need planholders.

To give you a brief background on *PEP Coalition*, in 2005, pre-need
companies starting with CAP and Pacific Plans Inc. reneged on their
commitment to their planholders. This meant a lot of children would not be
able to finish their education since parents would have difficulty finding
the means to pay for school fees. The organizers of *PEP Coalition* could
not let this pass unchallenged. This led us parents to form *Parents
Enabling Parents (PEP) Coalition.*

*PEP Coalition *fought the Yuchengcos by filing cases of syndicated estafa
against them, cut off their attempts to incorporate Lifetime Plans, and
filed a complaint with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regarding the
unsound practices of RCBC, the banking arm of the Yuchengcos. *PEP* also
opposed Pacific Plans’ request for rehabilitation and won with the Court of
Appeals. The case is now pending with the Supreme Court. The BSP also
penalized RCBC for unsound banking practices.

The Yuchengco group struck back by filing 13 cases of libel against *PEP
Coalition* Officers (12 have been dismissed). Last year, the Yuchengcos also
got their top management to file a P51 Million civil case against the
officers of *PEP Coalition* for damages. In the end none of these challenges
daunted us; it only served to strengthen our moral resolve. Since then our
cause has become greater. PEP supported the fight of other pre-need victims
– victims *of CAP, Platinum, TPG, Pryce, Permanent, etc.*

*PEP *also gave aid to over 3,000 children who have been victims of these
pre-need companies. We used the P50 million fund donated by Mark Jimenez to
give these children an education, the basic right threatened by these
corporate titans. Sizeable chunk went to CAP children.

In one of our biggest moves yet, the *PEP Coalition exposed the criminal
acts of Celso delos Angeles, the owner of Legacy, the shenanigans of F.
Afulugencia, the owner of PhilAsia, with the full support of Senator Mar
Roxas.*

Our previous actions are just the tip of the iceberg. More has to be done
for this cause; hence our decision to form *PEP Partylist*. Getting*
PEP*representation in congress will allow us to fulfill our plans to
pass laws
that shall:

* further strengthen the PRE-NEED CODE to protect beneficiaries of
educational, pension, medical and memorial plans.

* provide legal and other assistance to victims of pre-need companies

* ensure availability of quality and affordable education and health
insurance for all Filipinos

* promote good governance in the pre-need industry and the government
agencies that supervise the industry

*Your votes can make a difference. Vote for **PEP **Partylist ( **#**169 **on
the ballot) and claim your place as an agent of change.*

The 5 nominees under PEP Partylist are: 1. Philip H.. Piccio, 2. Vicente P.
Ortuoste, 3. Jose Ma. Zayco, 4. Reuben Baldoza, Jr., 5. Cornelio Zafra.

Salamat!!!!

*PEP* *COALITION*
