[Gimp-developer] Working with a text

Outlining a text is not convinient, as well as working with other text
effects. Does it require non-destructive editing GIMP currently lacks? I
use - layer - text to path, and then edit - stroke path. Is there any
chance it will be improved in the future, because even some free online
editors (such as Photopea) have a more convenient way of working with a
text.
