So the foomatic-database-gimpprint package contains only the Foomatic data generator and requires libgimpprint. The Post-Install script of libgimpprint checks the presence of Foomatic and the Foomatic data generator. When both are present, the Post-Install script deletes old GIMP-Print XML files, starts the data generator and foomatic-kitloads the resulting files. So a distro does not even need to ship the GIMP-Print XML files, they will be generated on the fly, during package installation. That sounds almost right (unless someone installs foomatic after installing Gimp-print, and we can't guarantee ordering). -- Robert Krawitz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.tiac.net/users/rlk/ Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] Project lead for Gimp Print/stp -- http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net "Linux doesn't dictate how I work, I dictate how Linux works." --Eric Crampton _______________________________________________ Gimp-developer mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer
