The GNOME CVS repository is being migrated to Subversion while I am writing these lines. gimp was one of the first modules to be migrated and is already available on svn.gnome.org. The command to check out the trunk (this is the equivalent of the HEAD branch in CVS) is: svn checkout http://svn.gnome.org/svn/gimp/ In order to check out the gimp-2-2 branch, you would use: svn checkout http://svn.gnome.org/svn/gimp/branches/gimp-2-2 Working with Subversion is quite similar to working with CVS. Still, you will want to yourself familiar with the differences.
