Hooray for Austin!
The Intelligent Scissors are now actually doing something useful again!
I recently had a look at Pr0n-o-shop's "magnetic lasso" which is
basically the same thing. The edge-finder in the Intelligent Scissors
seems to compare quite favourably.
Adoobie's version does the following other nifty things:
- adds path vertices as appropriate rather than when you ask it to
- makes curved segments
- creates a manipulable path or selection (magnetic path/magnetic lasso)
I don't like this - I prefer the GIMP behaviour of making a path
which can be instantly converted into a selection by clicking
inside it.
