I can't find any useful information on using these settings effectively. I don't consider myself stupid or a genius but I think you might need a degree to make sense of these controls. I realize that explanations are provided but it's still very cumbersome and confusing.
I always wondered for instance why you can create a perfect circle with the Ellipse Select Tool, but converting it to path gives horrible results. To make a perfect vector circle I have to use a shape path plugin and enter coordinate and radius values which is time consuming. There really should be an easy way to make a simple vector circle. Anyway, I thought it would be a huge improvement to select a few key controls that make the most useful differences and give the user an intermediate set of sliders with meaningful names and explanations. If it was possible to preview the results live it would truly be a impressive tool. Something along the lines of the design philosophy of the new Transformation Tool.
