Is there an official ubuntu PPA for gimp?? Or one that's from the people developing gimp?
I'd like to install a version of gimp that has more than 8 bits/color channel and wonder about the best way to do that. Alternately if anybody has compiling advice, like a step by step tutorial, that could be another way. I've compiled small things, but long ago. Never a program for a linux distro. I'm using ubuntu studio 16.04 64 bit. Thanks in advance.
