Does it seem like this question comes up on a monthly basis?
GIMP could REALLY use some ability to make ad-hoc edits to its otherwise ready-only assets (gradients and brush dynamics, vector brushes, etc.). Requiring users to duplicate one of these before they're allowed to change any of those settings is one reason I dumped literally ALL of the preset brush dynamics from my GIMP installation. And, I'd wager, it's probably one of many reasons why GIMP 2.8 moved 'brush size' out of the brush editor and into the tool options. But -- (less rant, more on the topic, I agree) -- if you can't duplicate something from the Gradient editor then go to the Gradients list and duplicate it from there. -- Stratadrake [email protected] -------------------- Numbers may not lie, but neither do they tell the whole truth. ________________________________ From: gimp-user-list <[email protected]> on behalf of Mark Morin <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, December 18, 2016 3:17 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Gimp-user] Gradient tool : how to modify the gradient ? right click on the gradient you want to copy select "duplicate gradient" an editable copy of that gradient will open.
