Not in general, no. There are diferences related to metadata, and the
jpeg encoding algorithm is maybe slightly different, but speaking as
someone who sells stock images with a reputation for world-class
quality, processed entirely with GIMP (and xsane), i can say you can do
absolute top quality work with GIMP if you take the time to learn how.
