sorry about the HTML message (i'm still stuck using Outlook). Let's see if this works.
1) I still cannot open or save *.gif and *.jpg files. When i click on a jpg/gif to open it, it says unknow file type, same if i save as gif/jpg. I also want to be able to create compressed images, so just changing the filename won't work. 2) Sure enough, i do not have gimptool. I need a download link, every site I found on google acted as if it is part of the standared installation. Since i use FreeBSD, I cannot use LINUX RPM's.
