Hello, I don't know if this tip is known because I'm new to this list and I didn't find this in the archives.
If you want theat every user in your system should have access to xsane within gimp then create a link to "/usr/X11R6/libexec/gimp/1.2/plug-ins" (for FreeBSD-Systems). After restarting gimp all gimp-users in the system have access to xsane.
