http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-tools-transform.html#gimp-tool-transform -> Tool Options -> Direction You find this setting (and all other tool related options) in the tool options dialog, which is a dock that is usually just below the tool dialog itself. If you can't find it, I suggest the chapters on docks & dialogs in the GIMP help pages. I hope you enjoy it, Daniel
