Hi all,

Please see below for a problem Imad found with version 1.06 and a workaround

for the problem. If you have already cleaned up all the old directories..
you may

not encounter this problem.

Thanks.

Ok this worked. Is it safe to remove the entire 'data' directory which
contains the UML_# directories?? Or should we keep it?

Are you using any old UMLs?

Please remove the old .cow files. You can do this by removing the UML_#
directories

under data/ directory.

If you are keeping any configurations from old UMLs.. then it might be a
concern. I

was assuming that is not the case.

Hi Professor,

We just downloaded and installed GINI 1.06 and there seems to be segfaults
occuring as soon as any network topology is started. These segfaults are in
the UMLs.

Our simple network was 2 UMLs connected to 1 switch, which was connected to
a subnet with IP 192.168.1.0/24

Please advise as soon as possible, as we cannot continue working until this
is fixed.

Thanks,

I have posted version 1.06 of GINI on the website. It fixes a

gbuilder bug in IP address assignment in topologies with

multiple routers. Also, the UMLs should show the current IP

address and working directory on the command prompt.
