Yes, I'm sure it has. Apologies if my wording gave the impression that my
procrastination is due to anything other than my own preferences. There are
a couple of items I still don't understand, but I wanted to try to resolve
those for myself; for example, I still do not understand why the .dsc file
contains references to 'https://salsa.debian.org/smlx-guest/dhcpcd5.git'. I
don't see anything in that repo that ties it to dhcpcd upstream version
8.1.2. This is only my curiosity, but I do listen to my curiosity pretty
often :)

Yes - it's rather a lot to take in over the course of the few hours I've
found to spend on it. I hope that I may continue to depend on your help as
it's been essential to my progress so far.
