When trying to delete files in that "c_array/doc/html/" folder, the
system considers your membership in the "staff" group, but that group
does not have write permission on that folder (which, on directories,
controls the right to create or delete files--that is, change the
Note that root:staff appear to be really weird permissions for
something like files in a git repo, really, because it looks like the
repo has been created by the user root (hence the owner). So if you did
that as root, then don't, ever; instead, work as a normal user,
presumably somewhere under ~/devel.
