Hi,

There are no official translator guidelines that I know of, but I do know
that there is an incomplete Italian translation of the Git book here:

http://git-scm.com/book/it

I believe you can improve the translation by forking the book and working
on the italian chapters here: https://github.com/progit/progit

However, looking at the source code of git-scm.com, I'm starting to wonder
if the author has moved the actual book/website contents into a database..
I'll ask @chacon about it.
