This may be a silly question, but did you consider just using msysgit<http://code.google.com/p/msysgit/downloads/list?q=full+installer+official+git>? If you still want to use Cygwin-Git, there are some pre-built binaries<http://cygwin.com/packages/git/>for it, I believe.
