So please don't ask me to do the necessary research for you -- do it yourself. Possibly you should start from familarizing yourself with Git by starting with documents and books mentioned at [1]. Also don't forget that there are commercial turn-key Git hosting providers which will enable your team to host private repositories with zero effort on your part -- "Github", "Bitbucket", "Assembla", to name a few.
