I've had a similar issue deploying to AWS ElasticBeanstalk after upgrading 
to Ubuntu 14.04. I found that downloading the latest version of the AWS 
ElasticBeanstalk CLI tools (AWS-ElasticBeanstalk-CLI-2.6.1.zip) and running 
AWSDevTools-RepositorySetup.sh again from within my git repository fixed 
the issue. I can now deploy again via "git aws.push". I also had to install 
python-boto (sudo apt-get install python-boto), as the first time I ran git 
aws.push it complained that module was missing.
