As I understand, that's  -- "GNU Interactive Tools".
The same problem existed in Debian, where this software package has been
available before Git, had the name "git" which was confusing to users,
so the renaming happened  (I also recall the same thing with the
package "chromium", which contained a scroll-shooter game) ;-)
Also note that the version of that package is 4.something while Git is
at 2.something currently.

I dunno. Building from the source is okay to me but deploying the
