Hello,

I have the impression that it is not possible to recover line numbers
reliably with word diff. I am looking at an example where a blank line is
added. There are no words, so there is just a blank line, with no
indication of whether it is added or removed. Is there any way to get the
line numbers just be printed on each line, so one doesn't have to try to
infer them?

Concretely, I am using the command: git show -U0 --word-diff 66a5f6b in
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git

thanks,
julia
