Hello,

gitweb (or any particular web based git repository representation tool)
needs to access the actual repository.

If you want to separate the two, you may want to set up an active,
read-only mirror on the gitweb machine. This way developers wonʼt ever
touch the gitweb machine directly (if that is your concern)
