Hello, is it possible to build git 'out-of-tree' ?
while working with a clone of git repo, i am able to perform the following steps * make configure * NO_GETTEXT=YesPlease ../../../src/git/configure --prefix=/opt/git which leads to the generation of 'config.mak.autogen' file. However, there is no Makefile created. The above issue is not seen when executing the commands in the git source directory. Hence my query. Any pointers ?
