Hi there, Is there an effort to remove the Perl dependency?
Couldn't find anything about it upon https://github.com/git/git-scm.com/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+perl or https://git-scm.com/search/results?search=Perl I'm told on IRC #git "2.40 I believe the only thing written in perl is git send-mail" but I couldn't find any mention of Perl in the release notes [1] either.
