The "Git Users" (alt "Git for human beings") is a googlegroups hosted 
discussion list and appears to always use HTML. Folks can choose how they 
receive notification emails, even though they are typically prepared in 
HTML editor. I think I have mine set to sending plain text and attachments.

If the problem is specifically about the Windows aspects of 
git-for-windows, then use https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/issues (or 
the Discussions pages)

This Git User discussion is completely independent of the 
g...@vger.kerenel.org Git developer mailing list, which is 100% plain text. 
see http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html for details of *subscribing *to 
that list, though you can just send emails without subscribing
