A rule like "allow % from 10.0.0.0/8" also matched 138.0.0.0/8, and the localhost shortcut matched 255.0.0.0/8. Compare the inet_pton() bytes of the subnet and the address instead. Invalid addresses never match. A prefix longer than 32 is treated as /32, as before.
