Thus some of the work you link to was addressing. I think possibly the issue here is you're calling putXProperty (replace x with Int Long String etc method varients) but its not marking the message as changed, if you see CoreMessage it invokes messageChanged for each of those methods, but AMQPMEssage doesnt. This maybe a better solution....
