I think we should probably have a larger discussion on the dev list before making this change. For what it's worth, I haven't seen any confusion about this on the mailing lists, Slack, or Stack Overflow so it would be worth discussing exactly who is confused by this and why. As I understand it, the community goal since the acceptance of the Artemis donation was to take the best of both code-bases and consolidate development in order to build the best open-source message broker in the industry. Regardless, nothing is stopping users from evaluating and making a decision about which broker to use. I do think it would be helpful to users to provide some kind of explicit guidance for which broker to use and why and to provide a vision for future development.
