Just for future reference. An amazing write up on commit squash/rebase/merge best practices is on GitHub https://github.blog/developer-skills/github/write-better-commits-build-better-projects/ , In this case I would have squashed my commits into 1 or 2, because as there is no reason to keep all (my) development mistakes in history.
