Currently, every metric increment (or decrement) makes a system call to get a timestamp. Many times, the statistic could re-use an existing timestamp (brokerInTime, brokerOutTime, etc). Updating the statistics to take in a timestamp as an argument would eliminate a significant number of system calls. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
