When a message is sent with JMSXGroupID = "" (empty string), ActiveMQ
treats "" as a real group name. All messages with an empty group ID are
assigned to a single consumer.
Steps to reproduce
1. Create a queue with two or more consumers.
2. Send several messages with ("JMSXGroupID", "").
3. Watch which consumers receive the messages.
4. Open one of the messages in the web console.
Actual result
- All messages with an empty JMSXGroupID go to one consumer. The other
consumers receive none of them.
- The web console Properties section shows JMSXGroupID (empty) and
JMSXGroupSeq = 0.
Expected result
- An empty or blank JMSXGroupID is treated the same as no group ID.
- Messages are load-balanced across all consumers.
- JMSXGroupID and JMSXGroupSeq are not listed under Properties.
