odraese opened a new pull request #686: Hive 15177 Authentication with hive fails when kerberos auth type is set to fromSubject and principal contains _HOST URL: https://github.com/apache/hive/pull/686 This is a fix in KerberosSaslHelper.java for a bug, that was reported back in November 2016 but now reappeared in a scenario recently. It adds the resolving of the _HOST placeholder in kerberos principals if kerberosAuthType=fromSubject is set.
