Originally, I proposed deleting the related feature because it breaks the consistency semantics required by the Iceberg REST API. - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-29016 However, we decided to just disable the feature with a feature flag. I think the caching feature has zero users because it doesn't work with typical Iceberg clients. If it breaks not only consistency but also security semantics, I strongly want to remove the feature altogether for now.
