Of the two approaches described, i'm also feeling like the 2nd one is easier both for testing and landing changes gradually, rather than a big one time change. Also thank you for all the details on inner machinery, it's very valuable for a newcomer like me. Appreciate any guideline as I still have a very incomplete knowledge of the codebase and inner details at the time.
