There seems to be a small difference during vertical selection in the
behaviour of page-up and page-down in that when page-down reaches
the end of the file, it selects all the way to the left when it can go no
further downwards; however when page-up reaches the top of the file it does not
select all or any of the way to the right to match the behaviour of page-down

May I urge that when page-down should perhaps not suddenly increase the
selection because after a lot of page-downs over many pages it is quite CPU
Intensive to move the cursor back into position especially if the cursor has
been moved a long way left over many columns: this makes it difficult for the
user to recover to the state before the triggering push of page-down if
selection to the left was not in fact desired when page down reached the end of
the file Conversely it is easy for the user to signal that they do want to
select to the start of the line by pushing the home key

Thanks!
